Stephanie Kent, the heralded former junior #1 tennis player in New England has been appointed as the new Director of Tennis. Ms. Kent’s journey has taken her to two Ivy League institutions – Cornell in her freshman year, where she was voted MVP, and Yale for her remaining undergraduate years, where she won three ECAC Championships, two Ivy League Titles, and captained her team to #18 in Division I. She grew up in Washington Depot and later moved to Florida for training, but has just recently relocated to Newtown. Ms. Kent is currently, and plans to remain, a touring professional on the WTA and ITF Pro Circuits. She achieved WTA rankings of 700 in singles and 500 in doubles before an injury setback, but she is climbing the rankings once again at 1300 in singles and 347 in doubles on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
