For many golfers, the 13th hole provides one of the most intimidating tee shots on the course. A large pond immediately in front of the elevated tee stretches more than 100 yards to the other side, directly on line with the hole. The first 75 yards of fairway slope left and will leave the ball above your feet for your 2nd shot. If you're confident and long off the tee, go straight for the green (or slightly right) and you'll find a nice level opening in the fairway with 100-130 yards remaining.
If your ball does find the water, be sure to check local rules on the reverse side of your score card for treatment of the hazard. It's both a water hazard and lateral water hazard, depending upon where the shot was played. The green is slightly elevated and flanked by two greenside bunkers. With two levels and a severe green front, this is the toughest putting surface at Waterbury.
